Committees serve a number of important roles to our association and the Board of Directors:

  • Committees serve as a conduit through which the board receives "grass root" input, opinions and suggestions on a variety of topics.

  • Committees are a vehicle through which board actions are explained.

  • Committees enhance the effectiveness of the board by providing research analysis and advice needed for policy decisions.

  • Committees are an important linkage between the board and dealer community.

  • Committees serve as a training ground for future association leaders.

The Office Furniture Dealers Alliance (OFDA) has committees on a variety of subjects relevant to the office products and office furniture dealer community. Chaired by a member of the Independent Office Products and Furniture Dealers Association (IOPFDA) Board of Directors, the alliance's parent entity, these are comprised of dealers, manufacturers and service providers that play an active role relevant to the subject and are committed and active in identifying issues, developing strategies and overseeing implementation for the betterment of the industry and the dealer community.
