My name is Marissa Levendoski and I am from Mansfield, Ohio. I graduated from St. Peter's High School, and have gone there since kindergarten. I am planning on attending Bowling Green State University in the fall as an early childhood education major. My senior year, I was involved in a childhood development class, in which I had the opportunity to work with younger students
in and out of the classroom. Working with students in the kindergarten through third grade has been an eye-opening experience for me and it has inspired me to become a teacher. I am also interested in minoring in outdoor education, giving me the opportunity to be a summer camp director someday. One of my main interests includes theater. It has helped me to become more outgoing and confident. I started participating in musicals at the age of 12 and I continued all throughout high school. I even started vocal lessons my freshman year. I ended my high school career by portraying the role of Cinderella in my school's spring musical, Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I am extremely grateful for this scholarship opportunity because it will help to pursue my dream of educating the future generations.
