2018 Scholarship Recipient - D. Schofield

Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dale is one of two sons of Robin Schofield and Joyce Lorish. A student of the arts, Dale scored a five on the AP Computer Science exam and a perfect 800 on the Math portion of the SAT, with a composite score of 1510. Dale was a delegate to the New Jersey Boys' State 2017 session, and never had a marking period in school without being on the honor roll, with eleven out of sixteen marking periods on the high honor roll (having all grades above 90%), resulting in his placement of tenth in a graduating class of 414. Dale is an active member of his school's drama club and technology club, traveling to the 2017-2018 annual Technology Student Association competition at The College of New Jersey. Dale attended the Lafayette College First Class program, taking a class in data structures and analytics, for which he will attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology this fall to study Computer Science. Dale was admitted into the New Jersey Institute of Technology's Albert Dorman Honors College and he hopes to use this amazing opportunity to specialize in video game design and work on creating his own video games.
