Within this workbook are a number of different contract furniture dealership position descriptions for the Executive, Office, Accounting, Sales, Design Project Management, Customer Service and Operations department. These position descriptions are meant to function as reference points for most of the functions that occur in a dealership – a set of job descriptions that can be used to develop your own for your dealership, either by using these as is or by combining the functions from more than one into a single position description. The positions in this publication are shown in a generic organization chart.
Some of these positions may not be common to all dealerships. For instance, in many dealers the project managers do the estimating for installation or service work, so there isn’t an Estimator position. Or the dealership may not be large enough to have a separate Asset Clerk for managing client inventory in the warehouse.
