JASPER, IN (Jun. 20, 2012)--For the second yearin a row, employees of Kimball International have worked together todonate more than 3,000 pairs of shoes to the charity Soles4Souls.Soles4Souls is based in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), and collectsgently worn or new shoes to distribute to people who need them. Formed in 2004, Soles4Souls has given out 18 million pairs of shoesto people in need since then, both in the United States andinternationally.

 As part of Kimball’s commitment to corporate social responsibility,the company encouraged employees to donate to Soles4Souls’ causeover the course of a week. Several Kimball showrooms also hostedevening donation events with dealers and business partners toencourage donations. All together, Kimball International collected3,133 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls at 26 of its 30 locationsworldwide.

 All of Kimball International’s brand units – Kimball Office, KimballElectronics Group, Kimball Hospitality, and National OfficeFurniture – joined the cause and brought in shoes. Kimball LogisticsServices collected the donated shoes and transported them toSoles4Souls’ Tennessee warehouse.
