Mayline Group Announces New President/CEO
The Mayline Group Board of Directors announced that effective November 22, 2010, W. Stephen Coder will join the Mayline Group as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Coder comes to Mayline after a long career at HNI Corporation where he led different businesses within the company, successfully applying his leadership skills to P&L responsibilities, while improving operations, product offerings, and customer satisfaction.
After graduating from Iowa State in 1981, Mr. Coder qualified as a CPA and accepted an audit position with Ernst & Young. Joining HNI Industries in 1985, he worked in finance in different segments of the corporation before being asked to join the Hon Company, HNI’s largest division, as Controller. Mr. Coder then went on to lead Hon’s Systems business unit, followed by three years leading their Metal Casegoods business unit. During these assignments, Mr. Coder improved key elements of the business by working effectively with all stakeholders in a collaborative, metrics driven way, always finding a way for all to succeed.
Mayline’s outgoing President/CEO, Paul W. Simons, has been with the organization for 22 years. Mr. Simons advised the Board in 2009 of his desire to retire in the near future. The Board established a Search Committee responsible for sourcing his replacement. Mr. Simons will leave the company effective December 10, 2010.
